It has been getting freezing rain here since this morning....

Everything is iced over out there. Should make for an interesting drive home. The boss left two hours ago because he said he wanted to get home before the roads got too bad. The rest of us are here for another hour or so. I sure hope I can make it up the hill to my place. It is suppose to change to heavy rain this evening with strong winds. The winds are really starting to pick up now.
We have had a nice winter so far so I shouldn't complain but as much as I hate snow I would sooner be having soon then freezing rain. Driving on ice is so much worse then driving in snow.

He doesn't sound like a nice boss to make sure he got home safe but the heck with everyone else. I hope you get home safely with no issues.

I made it home...it was pretty slow going. It has since turned over to rain. It is really coming down now. Our parking lot is a sheet of ice.

@Happy2BeMe , I am so sorry your boss did not think to let everyone go home early, especially since it is such dangerous driving conditions. I hope the hour will fly by and you will soon safely be back home!

I am home now. It had changed over to rain now and it sure is coming down. The winds have really picked up too.

We had icy roads this morning. My car was covered in ice. I had to pour water on the windshield and doors to get the ice off. My drive to town was 20 mph under the speed limit and at times I went even slower. Scared the bejeebers out of me.

Just take it nice and slow going home . It is raining here been raining since last night. Suppose to start snowing I think tomorrow right up through the weekend.

It was a bit tricky but I made. The driveway is a sheet of ice too so it was fun trying to get from the car to the door. Glad to be home.
