Walking is the best way for me. And since I really love to walk is not a problem. ... I mean it's not about losing pounds... But to really love routines that you like and just think of its joy that brought you and thinks that it make you stronger and healthy, you'll see your losing pounds without really knowing it. God bless. The more you think you want to lose pounds, the more you are prone to do the opposite. But think of getting fit because it should be the best thing that we all do and enjoy.

I weigh 287 pounds so it takes just a little bit of activity for me to burn calories. I do sit ups for a minute, then 5 push ups. I also walk in place for 2 minutes, then I do side steps for 2 minutes, then I walk in place again for another 2 minutes, then I do kicks for another 2 minutes, then I walk in place again for 2 minutes, then I do knee lifts for 2 minutes. Then I go to the gym and lift weights and exercise in the pool.

Me i wish i can afford a gym but in my area no pool

@eagletrek2 That's too bad that you have no pool. That's actually the best way to exercise. I've heard a story that a lady who weighed 400 pounds, couldn't do any exercise other than the pool, so she walked back and fourth for two hours in the pool and ate moderately and lost 150 pounds.

I go to group classes at the gym, I do anything they have depending on the time I come back from work. One day I might do Pilates, the next day zumba etc. When I couldn't afford the gym membership, I was doing workouts at home, there are many nice websites with videos to follow, and you don't need equipment. It has helped a lot with weight control.

I don't exercise to lose pounds. I lost weight by changing my eating habits (haven't changed a lot, just paying more attention to what I'm eating, checking if 'healthy' food really is healthy, cutting down on sugar, cooking things differently, and choosing healthier alternatives to some things. I tried losing weight through exercise but even when I was walking 12+ miles every other day, I was still over 15 stone. Since changing eating habits and changing my relationship with food (which co-incided with other changes - eg. I wasn't comfort eating because I no longer had any reason to), I lost 6 stone. I exercise to tone. As any nutrition or weight loss expert will tell you, you won't lose much weight through exercise alone (some people find they actually put on weight, although they measure smaller sizes as their body is toned). I have recently started regular exercise again. Partly to tone, partly to keep fit, and also because it's good for both physical and mental health. Mostly, I'll use the Wii and play Wii Fit or Wii Sports games. I used to go to Zumba classes, gym, and swimming (but I could no longer afford nor commit to them so it's toning up at home now). Also, I use hand weights. I guess it depends on exactly what you want to achieve.

I'm a crazy, fitness freak so love mixing up my fitness regime. Have just signed myself up for a 50 mile virtual run this month. Have only managed to complete 17 miles so far so still a bit to go yet. As well as this I like to do at least one spinning class a week, a high intensity interval class and a lift a few weeks in the gym.

I go for zumba classes ... but not because I want to lose weight. I just like to sweat and keep myself fit.

I always believe walking as one of the best mode of getting down in weight. It worked well for me a lot many times when I wanted to have a check on my weight. Other measures that could be followed to maintain good weight :- 1. Cycling - this you can do when you want to go out for shopping or buying essentials for your house. Instead of taking a cab/ bike, you could cycle few kms up and down. This will help a lot. 2. Green tea - consuming green tea after a meal or in the morning will help down to break the fat 3. Oil pulling - this will help to reduce the toxic substance in your stomach thus helps in regulating your digestion process 4. Drinking hot water after every meal - this again helps to break any fatty substance in the food 5. Doing some physical activity when you are at work - this may include filling your water bottle, walk to your buddy and saying a "hi" 6. Climbing stair-case whenever possible - instead of taking elevators, we could try climbing stair-case how many ever possible .. 7. Chew and consume food instead of having a big chunk - digestion starts from your mouth- people say!! This is indeed true. You could chew food substance twelve-times and allow smaller particles to pass to the digestion system. 8. Doing surya namaskar and yoga asanas

I usually go for long walks. I don't like to stress my body out in the gym. I also do low-impact aerobics at home and with the help of YouTube. Exercise goes well with diet. I try to avoid salty chips and commercially baked treats 'cause they seem to make me feel fat.

I used to love doing zumba dance. Granted I'm not the best dancer however it was pretty good workout. I am actually thinking of trying pole fitness with a few friends after I heal from giving birth. That or kick-boxing. Normally now I just walk and sometimes do yoga to just start out my day.

I m sharing my personal experience regarding weight loss. I lose 20 pounds in 3 months. But you have to follow a strict diet. I started a gym and doing cardio exercise twice or thrice in a week. I avoid dinner daily instead of that I eat fruits. I consume hot water daily. If I am in the office doing some walk for 5 minutes. But you need motivation. So this is something about my past experience try this once hope somewhere it helps you.
