I had to go to the hospital for an appointment which I had to wait for a year to get. When I was there, I sat next to a lady with 2 toddlers (boys). She was busy using her Ipad for reading, and her two boys were next to her playing loudly with their toys. For the whole time she kept reminding them not to be so loud as it would bother others....and then she got back to her reading... I was there, smiling to myself. I have children so I know what it was like... But then, I am not sure if other people and I were annoyed by the noise her boys made or by the way she kept telling her sons off... Luckily her name was called and she took off with her boys... And then it was silent. Everyone breath gently and continued to mind their own business...

@atoz1to10 nothing. the child's chatter was pretty harmless.

Yes, some people seem to want to make a big impression that they are good disciplinarians or something by telling off their children in 'big' voices.

I think that was what that mum did... She kept warning them about the noise, and that she was going to take the toys away if the noise was back on... But very kind of her to think of others' feeling...

@atoz1to10 Unless she was noisier than the kids and just trying to impress others.

It is a problem that young mother just knows how to tell her children keeping quiet, but doesn't know how to help them to do so.

Yes, I was thinking of the same thing too. Instead of talking to her sons, she kept to herself and then told them off.
