Hot Air Balloons Painting

I wanted to share another painting that my dad...William Trotter did. This painting was done of several hot air balloons that were going up, somewhere during a festival in Florida. I just love the colors in this painting.
Has anyone ever ridden in a hot air balloon? I haven't... I would think the world would look breathtaking while traveling in one of those. The only thing that would make me nervous, is if we got caught up in a windstorm. It could end up being a very bumpy ride.

There were balloon races and rides in one area where we lived. It was great fun, but not for me.

neat painting, I was in a hot air balloon just briefly...for about 5 minutes..It was a demo at an fair i went to one time. It was fun, I would like to ride in one for real sometime.

@inertia4 - Have you seen the other paintings I have shared in my previous posts? In fact...my myLot icon is also a painting that he did. I was going to eventually share a larger copy.

The idea of the thing popping and the decent to the ground scares me too much, they are fun to watch though

@teresatrotter I have hot air balloon pictures and other items all over my living room. I even have hot air balloon wall paper on one wall of my living room.
Going up in a hot air balloon has always been on my "Bucket List" but I have not done it yet. There have been a couple fatal mishaps near where I live in Virginia, so I've been wondering whether I should try it or not.
I printed out your father's painting to add to my growing collection of hot air balloons. It's a beautiful painting. I love it!

That's a lovely painting. Hot air balloons make great colourful subjects. Yes I have been in a balloon a couple of times; I knew some balloon pilots. It was exciting at first and interesting to see the town and countryside from a different perspective, but to be honest after a while the ride got a bit boring. I think I preferred the option of being in the pursuit vehicle - you have to basically make an educated guess where the balloon is going so you can be there to pick it up when it lands. Juggling road maps, wind speeds and radio contact with pilot - that was fun!

Wow, it is really a beautiful painting. I have never ridden in a hot air balloon. I would like to ride in a hot air balloon some day. I think it is fun going for a ride in it. It would be really a beautiful experience.
