Book Fair Calling Me

A big book fair is organised in a city which is about three hundred kms from our town.Despite my long cherished desire to visit a book fair I am now not in a position to go to that city.This is the fifth time I find myself unable to cash in on an opportunity to visit a book fair.However one of my friends is now there in that city.I'll call and request him to buy some particular books for me from the fair.

I tried,but found that the books I want to buy are out of print now.I want to buy two books and both of them were first published seventy years ago.Sometimes such old books are available in book fairs.

Maybe this is the best thing you can do, ask your friend to buy you the books you want to have.

I have just phoned him.He says he'll try his best to visit the book fair and buy my desired books.He'll call me back at night.And he'll call me right from the venue of the book fair.

@ilocosboy I want to read two books one of which is about the British rule in India and the other is a novel by a great Hindi writer.Both are old books and were out of print till last year.

Absolutely right.Reading great books of Hindi literature has been my hobby.Hindi is my mother tongue.

Jessicalynnt,Actually my employer wants me to stay here and help him finish some pending office works.I can't refuse and it's not possible to finish all those works in one or two days,it'll take at least a week,but by that time the book fair will be over.

I tried my best,but have a lot of works to do here and am unable to leave my hometown.Book fairs are organised in that city every year in winter.So,let me wait for winter next year.Lol.

That sounds nice. I wish we had actual book fairs. I remember having them during school, but nothing more after that.

you can buy books thru friends. but the feel in a book fair is different. i love it. every year i visit book fair nearby even if nothing to buy, but just to feel the books.
