In the past years we have heard so much about "Climate Change". What are your thoughts about it and are you worried about it as much as other people?

I think climate change is real. The water is rising in the oceans and there are some land masses that will be under water.

The scientific data available backs up the fact that climate change is a reality. I find it worrisome that the current administration in place in the United States appears to be not only hellbent on denying the scientific facts but doing everything it can to hasten the negative impact our country has on global climate through repealing various standards set in place to protect the environment. Then again, there's a lot of actions being taken by the current administration that should be found worrisome, such as the attempts to discredit the free press and gaslight the general public...

Just ask the people living in Miami or the Florida Keys if they think climate change is real or not! They are constantly flooding on a routine basis now during high tides. What once used to be a rare occasion is now happening pretty regularly. Miami Beach is already installing huge pump systems similar to what New Orleans uses. How far are you from the beach right now? You might own oceanfront property before too long! haha

I believe it's happening but I don't see that I can do much about it so I don't worry too much about it. We do what we can to not add to pollution and we're not wasteful of resources (which isn't the same thing really) so there doesn't seem much point in worrying. Also I'm heading out of the world rather than just getting started. With all the horrific fires and floods occurring each year I find it hard to deny.

Of course the climate is changing! It goes in cycles, getting warmer and cooler, and that's natural. There are so many factors that determine climate--solar flares, where we are in our orbit around the sun, wind currents, jet streams, etc.--that it's a small wonder it's as predictable as it is. I remember in the 70s Newsweek magazine had a big headline on the cover about another ice age on the way. So sure, I believe in climate change but it changes itself. We don't change it and I think it's kind of conceited to think that we would have that big an impact on nature.

I'm not really worried about it in the long run. I know things are in good (God) hands. I am concerned with our bad attitudes and the fact that many don't care. I will continue to do my small part so that if it depended on what I do there would be a favourable outcome.
