It is a beautiful morning anyway!

Up at 6:30 this morning, sky was still dark, I started the coffee, glanced at the morning headlines (ugh!) and took Anne's coffee in to her. By the time I walked back into the living room, the morning sky through the window was a beautiful red around blue clouds. It was so beautiful I stood at the window for minutes watching it change.
For a time, my mind was off the troubling news emanating from all corners of the world including our own country.
It is a work day for me, a short five hour shift starting at 11, so I will eat a hearty breakfast and (maybe) Anne will fix a great sandwich for me to take along.
I am glad that I am not stranded in an airport with a legal visa to enter the country. I hope that your day is a beautiful, peaceful one.
My camera was not handy, so I will use a photo of Anne's quilt, "Sunrise Over Delta Ponds in Winter."

I am hearing John Lennon singing, "I heard the news today, oh boy" in my head. Thanks for checking out the quilt. She has three beautiful new quilts that are accepted for a juried show called "Gems of the Ocean" coming up in March.

@JamesHxstatic I heard about that protest from some other folks who live in your area. Someone made a rude remark about the protest and one of my friends asked if the rude person needed a hug?

I love it when you use pictures of Anne's quilts! it's pretty nice here. I just took a 30 minute walk outside. It felt great.

Thanks, @jillybean22! Glad you are having nice weather. We are in the high 40s today, no rain, and I hope it holds tomorrow as we are going to Coos Bay, OR to pick up some quilts from a show there, maybe 100 miles each way on the coast highway.

Despite the fact that I've been in bed sick with the flu all weekend, I will concur that today was a beautiful day. I have no idea if it was nice out or not, since I've been confined to my bed all day, but I still consider it a beautiful day because I got caught up on all my reading and myLot notifications! I feel I have accomplished a lot, even though I didn't really accomplish anything!

@JamesHxstatic Yes, I had the flu shot back in late Fall of last year. Not sure if I have the actual flu, or just flu-like symptoms, but to me they are one and the same. Either way, I feel like crap!

It turned out to be a nice sunny day here, too. We are going to have another slight cold spell but not nearly as cold as a couple of weeks ago. Then it's supposed to warm up. They are forecasting rain by next weekend.

That is a lovey quilt. She is very talented. Yes, the news lately is pretty distressing so I don't look for it online. I figure if I am not being threatened by anything in my own house I am alright. Hope you have a good weekend.
