1956 – Elvis records one of his most memorable songs “Blue Suede Shoes”. 1961 – The Shirelles have a number one hit with “Will You Love Me Tomorrow” which incidentally happens to be “our song” between me and my high school boyfriend. It was the time when couples didn’t really choose special songs anymore in the 1970s but we liked the tradition so we chose this song. 1969 – The Beatles performed for the last time in public playing a 45 minute rooftop concert on top of the Apple Corps headquarters. 1975 – The Bee Gees came out with “Jive Talking”. 1982 – Hall and Oates have a number one hit with “I Can’t Go For That”. http://www.classicbands.com/day/january%2030.html

“Blue Suede Shoes", my husband loves that one written by Carl Perkins, if I am not mistaken.

Elvis and Beatles on the same day. That's heavy!
