This morning my hubby and I had a debate about who was going looney tunes. We had the radio on and when the announcer mentioned that it was unbelievable that we were coming down to the last few days in January I commented that he had made a mistake. To which my hubby Martin asked, “What do you mean?” I said that it was not possible that January was coming to an end. Martin then inquired how many more days did I think there were in January. It was at that time that two things happened. One was that I realized that all of the 31 days in January were about to end and second I remembered a guy I knew at university who could always come up with something amusing to say. So now that I have shocked you into realizing that all of the 31 days in January are indeed almost used up and that the sum of 31 is not that much at all. I will tell you about my friend. Peter and I had two classes in common and I was glad that he was such a likeable guy because even when I was feeling low he could make me smile. At university we were always counting days because we had to plan for assignment deadlines and for quizzes and tests. So it was very rarely that we lost track of the days except for one time. Peter had had a tough time one January because he had let things slide back in December and he had three assignments to finish up and a final exam which he was allowed to take in January but should have been taken in December before the holidays. Just like now when January was coming to an end Peter asked me if I had seen January flying by. I said that I had been too busy keeping up with my assignments to notice the month running by. So we started laughing and had a silly discussion about if the month had flown or run by. Then Peter came up with a real good one. He said that once February 1 came around he would sit down and not move for the entire month. I asked him why and he replied well if we were both surprised by the 31 days of January going by so fast since February only had 28 it made no sense to try to do anything for those days because they would be gone quicker than rising up from a chair.
