We as an individual are alone in this world. When we grow up, parents admit us in a play school, where we learn how to survive in the outside world. We grow up further and get admitted to a higher level school, there also we remain alone and learn to face the world. We go to college and learn the tricks to survive. We get into a job and find that whatever we have learnt so far, will not be enough; we need to learn more skills to survive and to grow in our jobs. With the passage of time, we get to learn many things and are able to face the world. However, our fight continues single handed till we leave this world.
Many would say that we get support of our parents, relatives, friends, our partners and our children in life, yet we continue to feel that we are alone in this world.
These are just my thoughts.
You may have different opinion than mine.

Don't you face the challenges alone in your life e.g. if you have to get yourself checked up from a Doctor, don't you go to his clinic yourself?

This thought has struck me too. We cannot possibly be in the company of others 24 hours of the day. Many hours are spent sleeping and then we are into so many activities alone.

It appears that we are on the same page
. You are very right, when we are doing some kind of activity, we do it alone. It could be sleeping to cooking and many such activities. We decide ourselves how to go for a task and we do it in our own way.

My mother used to say "You are born alone, you die alone" . . . that I have always believed to be true. And in between we each have our own lives to live . . . and in that sense, yes, we are alone. No two lives, not even for twins, would ever be exactly the same. Each person has their own ladder to climb and each will climb it in different ways. Everyone is an individual.

Indeed we are. We are individuals with our own paths to make. It's just that with billions of people in a small planet, the paths tend to cross, and merge, and we share a common experience.

@Beatburn Everyone has purpose in his life. If there is no purpose, one cannot survive. You might have noticed frail and old man do not want to live their life because they feel that they have served their purpose on this earth and there is nothing left in this world, which could inspire or motivate them to live further.

There is support system for each one of us and that helps us survive, no doubt about it. However, we are alone in the sense that some of things in life we need to face ourselves, no one faces those things on our behalf.

It is good to hear that you do not feel alone and you have all along been surrounded by your family members, friends and husband.
However, my post is not focused on feeling alone and staying without a company. There are some of the activities, hardships and tasks which we face alone in this world, others just cannot face those activities or tasks on our behalf. Hope you would agree with me on this point?

This is true. Though we have people standing with and beside us, life is about our journey alone. For any one is not destined to live for us, they have their own to live. Something or someone can support you, calm you and for that matter discourage you or stop you, it's entirely us who have to know how to take it :)
If we know the fact that it's my story..only I can write it, Life will be less tough :)

Many thanks for agreeing with me. Despite support, we have to fight the odds in our life with our own will power and determination. Whatever comes our way either good or bad, we have to face it alone, no one will face it on our behalf. When we reach at a stage, where we start feeling that we have become mature enough to face the challenges of life, our fears/apprehensions take back seat.
