Busy Doing Nothing

At least that's what it felt like all day, so far. Yesterday I got a lot accomplished. Today, I couldn't get it started.
I was up at my usual time after going to bed at 11 last night. However, getting on the computer and opening my Bible study was another matter. Ever have one of those days when there is nothing there? All your thoughts have taken flight and refuse to come home to roost? That was my day where the Bible study was concerned. It took all day and a lot of prayer to get it started, but when I finally did, I was also able to get it accomplished and posted.
While I waited for the juices to flow on that, I played my game, but that shut down several times, watched a couple episodes on a show on Netflix. I hope it isn't one of those going off in February. It's actually interesting. I read a few chapters in the book I got Saturday, a member authored, and worked on my own manuscript, Manifest Destiny to get it ready for the second edition.
All the while coming back to my Bible study to see if I could work on it. As you can see from my discussions, I did finally make that happen, but I know it was God who accomplished that.
So it feels like it was a very busy day doing nothing in particular and everything in general.
In about an hour I will be seeing snow starting. They said it would begin about the time the kids get out of school and the home commute. We're supposed to get about 3.5 inches before it finishes tomorrow. I have a feeling tomorrow will also be another snow day for the kids, since it's supposed to be a bit dangerous out there. We'll see.
So that's my day and what's coming my way. How has your day been for you? Have you gotten things accomplished you hoped to do?

Sounds like one of my typical Sundays..
Today was work, but I got to leave early as my son was involved in a theater competition so I left to go see that. It was over with quickly, but very interesting to watch. The kids did monologues from some popular Shakespeare plays. Tomorrow we should know the winner. The winner gets to attend some workshops, and then go to another competition.

I just heard there was a tie.. the kids have to do it all over again tomorrow. They're going to bring in more judges and hope there is no tie this time.

It has now started and right when they said it would. Sometimes the weathermen get it right. Right now the flakes are nice and large and I'm loving watching it. I'm glad it started before dark so I could see it accumulate.

Last day of January for us here living in Manila. 10:30 in the morning and so far the day has been fine. Got a couple of meetings to attend to and some paperwork to be done. the meetings will take care of themselves and it is the paperwork that needs my utmost attention. I'm confident that I'll be able to accomplish it in a bit though.

I do have a lot of days like you have described. My mind is not clear this time of the year. I think that spring time will be good for all of us.

Variety is the spice of life and so doing nothing comes in that category (lol). I have routine jobs around that I have to do whether I like them or not.

so far J has called in sick (migraine), I have the edge of one (hopefully I can stave it off), because I have to work this afternoon and would rather not call in sick on a day I only have a four hour shift! I have walked the dog, put up a basket of laundry done last thursday (was gone friday through sunday and didnt have time yesterday). I have two more ready to go, one is in the wash, and one is waiting. The dishwasher was unloaded last night, and I have started loading it, and am trying to get caught up on here.
been up since 6 so not moving too fast, but that is ok

@just4him I got my laundry up and J's in her clean basket, she can either put it up or wear really wrinkled stuff. I already reminded her once, so it's on her now. I worked. and now I am about to crash, subbing tomorrow again

Those days happen every now and then. I am sure tomorrow will be a better day for you. I had a pretty good day. I worked all day and now I am sitting with my feet up and mylotting a bit before it's time to eat.
