In a move that caught many 49ers fans off guard, San Fransisco 49ers owner Ned York has hired former Fox Sports color commentator John Lynch as the new general manager of the team on Sunday. Here is the catch. Lynch who played as a defensive back with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Denver Broncos from 1993-2007 has no experience as a general manager. Red flag alert. Why would York hire a former football player that has no previous experience as the next general manager to succeed Trent Baalke who was terminated by the team at the end of the 2016 football season has me scratching my head. What made me laugh about the hire of Lynch as the next general manager of the 49ers is that ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith and Fox Sports 1 commentator Shannon Sharpe are upset that there is minority general manager in the National Football League. Good luck 49ers fans, New Orleans Saints fans have had to listen to the late New Orleans sportscaster Buddy Diliberto (1931-2005) beg Saints owner Tom Benson to hire Bill Polian who was the former general manager of the Buffalo Bills to succeed the late Jim Finks when he passed away in 1994 on his radio show. Bill Kurarich succeed Jim Finks at the Saints general manager but the Saints fell into a slump period during his time as the general manager from 1996-1999.

I can't stand John Lynch. I hope he falls flat on his face.
