Why do they push a door that says pull ???

We have recently had a lot of building work done at my place of work and on the front door there is now quite a big sign that quite clearly says PULL .....so why is it that the secretary has to keep shouting to people to PULL as they are frantically trying to entre the building by PUSHING the door !!!
It's driving her dippy !

That happens all the time. It is said push they would be pulling. People don't read signs no matter how big and visible they are.

I don't understand why people keep pushing it and not even try to pull lol Clearly they not thinking what they do or read the sign
