Do you have family or friends who are active on mylot?

Part of me would love if someone I know was active here on mylot so we could help each other earn by reading about and commenting on each other's posts. Years ago I did have a few people sign up but they only wrote a few posts and quit.
Now I am glad I do not know anyone here from where I live and hope that I never do run into anyone on here that I know personally. I live my privacy of being able to write what I want here without being judged. It's one reason I am active here much more then Facebook anymore.
I know there is a woman who invited her sister back to mylot recently but I am not sure if she is staying active or not.
It got me thinking how others would feel to have people here they knew reading everything they write.
I also wondered if there were any couples here at mylot who we both active and did find that out a few minutes ago when @Berniezeitler said he was going to recommend a post of mine to his wife.

If your children know you post photos of them and your grandkids would they be upset? I am sure you have permission based on things you have said. My 9 year old son would be extremely mad if he knew I write about him at times he's a grump.

Haha well I just hope in my case that if there is anyone I know on here that they won't realize it is me without my profile picture being a photo of me. Just in case I usually don't post similar posts here and at Facebook about my daily happenings.

@Happy2BeMe I have bitten my tongue on some things in my life but I much prefer when I feel upset about something being able to come here and talk about it.

@shaggin that is a good idea. I hardly post on FB anymore. Evenot if somebody on here knee me it would never okay I don't really say anything that I wouldn't want anybody to read.

My sister is here but she has such a crazy busy life that she's rarely active. She comes here every few months when she can but she's always on the go offline.
I don't mind her being here because she knows everything about me anyway but I don't want anyone else here that I know personally. I like using the site to vent and write about personal things.

I only know the people whom I've met on other sites but none of my real world friends or family have joined. It doesn't bother me either way, I rarely write about family or friends on any of the sites I belong to ...... ok, that's a lie, I do write about my furmily, both past and present but none of them care what I write anywho.

I don't have any friends or family who have joined mylot. I like it this way, I can write all my thoughts and I can have open conversations with other mylotters, I can talk about my job and my problems and get great advice from a variety of people. It is good to get fresh eyes on our everyday thoughts sometimes, it can change our perspective and help us be more open minded.

Mylot used to have a way to search who was from the same town, state and country. It was interesting. I do not think it can be done anymore.

@Tina30219 It was best but made up easier to track and since I prefer my anonymity more now I am glad we can't search people by towns anymore.

I know of at least two couples here and quite a few sibling members - and a mother and daughter. I think it would restrict my writing to have family members or friends here. I'm quite happy just to be here and not know people personally.

I would love to get my niece and a few others involve in writing in MyLot ...but firstly, it's hard to sign up (technical problems)...and secondly, a steady internet service is not available. I would love to have people frequenting my discussion and supporting my with observations and comments.
However, it's my personal observation that way too much private information is shared here. I know that people feel really comfortable...but still. Do you know that these articles and comments circulate the internet? I got a shot when I saw one of mine.

Wow I would be a bit shocked tinder one of my posts going around on the internet. Back at the old mylot I used to write much more personal topics and I am glad that I deleted many of them and many of them mylot deleted when it started paying again and updated their rules. I feel like I had a fresher start when I came back to write here.

@shaggin Yes, seriously, I was shocked.After I get paid (haven't got paid yet) I am going to go back and delete one or two of my blog post. I wrote with the intention of sharing on myLot where I am relatively unknown...but I have shared way too much personal things. MyLot people are warm people and I got drawn into it (^_^). However I was researching a topic on my country for another blog on another site...and when I put the tag in, my own post showed up from here.
It was not a factual blog on myLot...so I am not happy it was presented as a source of information. So, I am more careful now. However if I could, I would like to have some people who could join this site with me. The pay is low, but it is quite a relaxing forum to meet with other people. For that reason, I like this site.

No, I also like the relative "privacy" of posting here, so I haven't gotten anybody else into using the site. I like that I can just ramble about whatever, and unlike on Facebook, no one is probably going to notice if I make 4 posts about my cat in one day. 
Although, if I told any of my family or friends about the site, they'd likely find me by my user name in about 30 seconds. So I have not even mentioned it.

The only thing that would be easy for people to realize who I am here if they knew me in person would be my username. I would like it to be different for that reason but I wanted the people here from the old mylot to remember me and if I changed my username they might not recognize me.

Yes, that was my issue, too, I wanted to keep it consistent...the same with the picture, which I really need to change because I don't want a real picture of me, but I think it is small enough you can't see me anyway. (Plus I was younger and thinner then, so that's a plus! ) My friends would likely recognize that picture though since it's from a trip I took with a bunch of them 10 years ago.

I have a few internet friends here but not friends from the real world. I don't have any family here. I really would not want them here. I can vent here without being worried about hurting feelings. I mostly vent about my family, so it works out for me not to have anyone here.

I would love to rant more about my family but there is always that deep down worry that maybe just maybe someone from my gossipy town could be lurking here at mylot for information. So for the most part I do write what I want here without to much worry there are some things that I just can't write about.

Both of my sisters have Mylot accounts, but haven't been active in awhile.
