Coming in at # 4 on my favorite rock songs of the 1990's series is Enter Sandman by Metallica, it's one of my favorite songs of all time and, one I used to sing along to everyday, my neighbor told me I sounded like James Hetfield. So, that's one of the best compliments I ever got. Enter Sandman also came in at # 16 on the billboard hot 100 and, # 10 on the mainstream rock chart. Check out the lyrics below. I am sure you will remember them well. Say your prayers little one. Don't forget my son. To include everyone. I tuck you in, warm with in. Keep you free from sin. Till the Sandman he comes. Sleep with one eye open. Gripping your pillow tight. Exit light. Enter night. Take my hand We're off to never- never land. Another interesting note is ECW wrestler the Sandman had this as his theme music for years and, came out drinking beer to it. Some information verified at Wikipedia.

Enter The Sandman was the theme song for former New York Yankees closer Mariano "Mo" Rivera when he pitched for the team.

It is a good song but it isn't one of my favorites by Metallica. My favorite by Metallica is Master of Puppets.

Sweet. I have pondered sharing music on here but my tastes are pretty drastic. I don't know how many people would comment on that.

@jhechorain It all depends on the day, but there are some rock fans here, metal, grunge, classic etc.

Yeah, he's one of the best and, I think it all started, he responded to a add Lars had out looking for a singer.

These are lovely lyrics. I don't think I've ever heard this. Must find it on YouTube one day.

I know the hardcore fans didn't like The Black Album, but this is a great song.

I loved the black album, but I also like some of their earlier stuff like for whom the bell tolls, fade to black and, master of the puppets.
