Do you feel sorry for spending much money on food?

February 2, 2017 12:18pm CST
I know several people (some of my friends and family including) who find it crazy to have to pay dearly for a meal, saying that it becomes a waste of money. What do you think about that? Honestly, I don't feel the slightest regret in spending much money eating , as long as I eat well and always something new and different. I think life should be lived in the best way possible, and if you can pay for what you like, you should do it without thinking twice.

I get worried that I have to spend so much on food but we are eating healthy foods that will help my grandchild grow strong, healthy, smart and beautiful. I could spend a lot less if I would buy a lot of frozen and processed food but I want the best for her.

I shop with sales, bargains and coupons so little money is "wasted" on home meals. As to eating out, I stick with places I like which are reasonably priced and you know what you are getting.

I don't feel horrible for spending money on food. I just find the prices ridiculous. It is getting expensive to buy food nowadays. I don't really understand why the prices have to be so high.

I used to regret it because I would always find myself being broke. Eventually I learned to embrace thatI am a small horse and that feeding me is an expensive proposition. I am a big boy and I move heavy stuff for a living so I will always consume tons of food. My grocery shopping looks like I am shopping for a family but its just for me. Even when I buy everything on sale and in bulk, my food bill is second only to rent. I no longer feel bad about my expensive habit.

We buy what we need or want as we can afford it.

As long as one does not take loans to eat I do not see any reason why one should crib

No I do not feel bad because when we make extra money we stock up on food getting it on sale. Than we stock on on toilet paper, shampoo and soaps. Than we re all set when we do not have extra money.

Basically I agree with you except that at times there is not enough money and the produce is very expensive. My hubby and I buy up groceries when we can and freeze items so we have them when needed. There have been occasions between income coming in when we have not even had bread in the fridge and have made porridge we have left over until we can stock up.

I eat in. I eat out. I feel no remorse whatsoever for enjoying food.

'If you can pay for what you like' - that is the important part of your discussion. I hope you never run out of money. :)

@TheInvisibleMan sometimes really i also feel that i am spending much on food. And its true on sometimes we spend more than our need because food is great!! So it feels something wrong. But its also true that food is a thing we rarely thought before spending on it wheather we need it or not This is what i think about
