While I didn't read the entire article or scroll through the entire gallery -  I came across this - some time ago.  "This day in sports".  So it appears to be a sports history gallery.  I know I have mentioned that, other than my affinity for figure skating and curling I'm not a sports buff - however I had 2 thoughts about this.  1)  What a great idea , they should make a site dedicated to all 365 days of the year with a variety of topics.  This day in sports, news, politics, music, recipe, movies, art.... etc....  and 2) I thought my sports buff friends here on MyLot may enjoy the link. I find it particularly interesting because I just told @TheHorse that I don't much care for sports and hope that "both teams" loose at the superbowl today. Link:

I think it was the Patriots who won. A lot of the people I know liked the Falcons - so they will be disappointed

I'm familiar with that and honestly could care less. Btw, I hope the Patriots lose, only because Tom Brady doesn't deserve another ring. I'm from New England, too.

Thanks for the laugh about the Superbowl. I was yelling for the losers and was really pissed off that they lost. I'm quite sick of Brady. Sports is big in my family, hubby even after retirement has found another way to stay in the business of sports...

I would dig something like this. Of course, I've been following sports since I was a little kid.
