A year ago the princess has a weeklong sleepover while mommy and daddy were on vacation. The poor child was sick for most of the week, so we had a lot of cuddle time. Not too much sleep for grandma. Toward the end of the week, she was feeling better so we made a trip to the dollar store for her to choose a toy. She chose a tray of cupcakes. These cupcakes are worth their weight in gold. She serves them to grandma and grandpa and anyone else who is in the living room....every time she visits. Her cousins also serve the cupcakes every chance they get This has got to be the best spent $3.00 ever.

They were a lot cheaper when the packaging came off...but the play value more than makes up for my disappointment in the quality. It did come from the dollar store.

All $3.00 toys should give that much play value.

They look nice, but I am sure she prefers "real" cupcakes.

If you give her a real cupcake she only takes a couple of bites and then leaves it. (My husband will finish it fir her.)

These are a cute little toy. It reminds me of the cherry merry muffin toys my sister had when we were little. They were scented amazing too.

@Morleyhunt Oh okay so they are more the cheap plastic rather then the sturdy plastic I was picturing.

@shaggin that's right. I was expecting something a bit sturdier when I purchased them. The play value has not been affected by the cheap plastic....and visually, they still look good.

Kids don't care about the price only the adults does, To a kid a toy is a toy and they have favorites, that is a well spent 3 dollars

They have been played with every time she is at our house. If one goes missing (when her cousins have been over) we have to search until they are all in the tray.

Some toys really hit the nail on the head don't they? I love how you call her the 'princess'. Do you call her that when she is there - to her face I mean? I'd swell with pride I think if my grandmother called me 'princess'. Neither of mine had much time for me. Luckily the one grandfather I knew made up for it.

She's affectionately called grandmas "sweet pea", but yes she knows I call her princess. She also likes to dress like a princess. Last year 2015, she was Rapunzel for Halloween,

@JudyEv she is a beautiful little girl. When she was a baby, strangers would approach my daughter and tell her how beautiful her baby girl was. My husband and I had attractive babies (no prejudice there) but this little girl exceptional. She doesn't get that from us.

@Morleyhunt Haha, I have no clue! It is best to not think about topping it, everything you give will always be appreciated.
