Do you always use conditioners everyday?

When you shampoo your hair do you always follow it with conditioners or you use conditioners at other times only? Sometimes I don't shampoo my hair because I think it makes my hair dryer.

Yes, I always do, because my hair is rebonded. And my officemate referred to me a hair reborn treatment she was using, which I bought and was very satisfied. It made my hair softer and shinier and so easy to comb. I use it every other day after shampooing. I read that we have to use a clarifying shampoo so all the shampoo remnants can be really taken out from our hair. Problem is, I haven't seen any clarifying shampoo here.

So you use a special conditioner for your hair treatment.

@averygirl72 I think yes, it's a special hair treatment for rebonded , colored and chemically treated hair. It's called Keratin Hari reborn treament by Uni.

As you can see from my profile picture, hair products don't play a big part in my life!

If you have a hairy chest, conditioners might be needed.

I used a conditioner yesterday and my hair is very soft and shiny too but I don´t use it every day about every 7 to 9 days if I can. If my hair is messy I will wash it every 5 or so but I don´t use anything but a towel and a normal wide toothed comb.

@averygirl72 At the moment my hair is quite long and so I need to do something with it. If its shorter it lasts longer without much need to wash it only every 7 days or so.

@averygirl72 I don't believe so because we have a natural gland called the sebaceous ones located under the root in which secretes efficient amount of oils to nourish the hair shaft; if washed often (2-3 times a week) the commercial conditioners that state 'repairs unmanageable hair', actually disintegrates its bonding capability and is stripped of those precious oils.

Well I pamper my locks so I do NOT wash it everyday since this is a great way to ruin the pH balance of the hair and make it terrible; therefore I wash my mane 2-3 times per month and rarely use commercially prepared conditioners. I use instead a wonderful mask made from home found ingredients . . .

I also prefer my homemade hair mask over conditioners like mayonnaise or peanut butter but it's a lot of work. Commercial conditioners are convenient to apply. Shampoos make my hair brittle

@averygirl72 and if we consumers complain or even go so far as to boycott the products with all those chemicals, I believe the manufacturers have no choice but to make these products more pure

I do not use the conditioners every day because I do not wash my hair every day, but every second day. I use a conditioner every time I wash my hair.

Yes shampoo products can make our hair brittle and dry. I use it every other day or 3 times a week
