Interesting, I worked in a public library too, although I get to do things more than sitting around books. With the technology we had nowadays, the possibilities can be endless in front of a wired computer: research, environmental protection, disaster preparedness, the works. My greatest dream is to acquire a computer numerical controlled (CNC) machine and do things my wild ideas can conceive, but that is only a dream for now.

I feel like more than a librarian at times, I'm a job coach, copy maker, friend, storyteller, city advocate, computer kicker, and so much more. Lots of endless possibilities

@librarygeek1980 Hi I hope you like it here. The people here are friendly so I have found. Libraries kind of seem like a cool place to work for book lovers. Is working at a library actually more exciting than its given credit for?
I always wondered about that I mean working at one you have unlimited access to so much information. Given that its your employment you spend lots of time there to be able to discover things so what if any knowledge have you come across.

Ha! As of right now, I'm writing this at work, but it's just a little down time in between patrons, lol. For me, working at the library is the best job ever! For more info, see my post I posted just 2 days ago on library love. I'm always learNing something new everyday. Right now we are currently working on getting current covers in our collection uploaded to our website richfieldlibrary.com I tell ya, as tedious as it is, I can't help but flip through some of the books I never knew we had. We are a world of information and resources. Thanks for commenting and cheers!
