Almost Done With Another Project

I have this other project at home. Since we have a new water district in my hometown, I also wanted our home to be supplied with water from there. We used to draw water from the well using the electric water pump and the manual water pump. We fill our tanks using the electric water pump and it is a bit costly. Our electric bill is high because of that. I had told my parents of my plan and told them that we might save on our electric bill if we will have our water supply from the water district. We will reduce our usage of the electric pump once the installation of the pipes are through. Another benefit is, my father will no longer have to carry heavy pails of water just to water our plants in our front yard. I would like to thank @sunrisefan for his suggestions with regards to the pipes and other materials that we will utilize. Thank you so much! The water meter was installed yesterday so we had to buy the pipes and other materials so that it can be started soon. This morning, the workers came here and started digging and the pipes were already installed from the water meter to our gate. What's left to do is from our gate to our house. I think that can be done in one more day.

You're most welcome, Ms. Arbie. Hope your father will now enjoy watering your plants using a garden hose (which would then be another project hehehe!). BTW, how deep is your well where you used to draw water from?

@brokenbee So, you'll still spend much for the bill this summer hehehe! BTW, we used to have an electric pump too (Goulds brand) which I gave to my engineer friend last year because I did not use it for quite some time already though it still functions. I had my deep well condemned because water from the well is already rusty. Besides, water pressure is strong that by itself, water can fill our overhead tank which I use as standby. Our water supply from the water district though is shut off from 12 midnight to 4AM.

@ridingbet Yup, my mother told me she stopped her from buying the bed before because she will just buy it for them as their gift but she did not. That was 5 years ago. And then she also planned to apply for the water connection, but afterwards, she was discouraging my mother. Hmmm! Now, those are done... Hihihi!

I think by this time you already have your own water supply now. It is hard not to have your own, first it's too expensive and in. Our province we just need to walk down near ghe street to fetch water in a pump. Hehehehe.

Yup, we already have and we will be billed soon. I think we haven't reached the minimum of 10 cu. meters yet. Yup, it's really expensive because we used electricity to draw water from the well and when I washed my clothes, I had to use our jetmatic pump.

That's great. We used to share water from neighbors electric pump but now we also have water district and we have our own water supply. Our water bill is usually 400 pesos a month

Really? How much is the minimum water bill at your place? Ours is a bit costly than in other places. We will find out next month how much will be our first bill.

@averygirl72 Oh, okay.. The minimum here for 0 to 10 cu.m. is 290 Php... I hope we will not exceed from that. We will just use our water for watering the plants and doing the laundry.

Good luck on the project, I think nowadays having water from the water district is a necessity.

Yes, it is! Thank you! The installation of the pipes is already done. The last thing that needs to be done is to install the garden hose. =)
