My daughter brought her tail here and spilled acetone on my dining table. Not ever a word she would open her mouth to tell me. Now she is talking about she thought I knew. How dare she come here and ruin my stuff. I hate damage raggedy looking stuff in my home. Now I need to go out and find me a dang table cloth. I hate this and she had better beware coming in this door. I can't tell you how upset I am to see my new table look like this. Like I care less about my belongings. I want to toss it out the 12th floor window.

How awful of her. Can it be repaired? @Thehorse might have a suggestion for you.

I think it can be with a coat of polyurethane if I spelled that right.

Do we know what the table is made of? Did the acetone "bite" int the surface?

@TheHorse No the surface is not damaged and I was able to see that it's only the shine part that was damaged. I will buy some spray to even that out. for now it's covered.

I would be upset too. Can you get it off or is the damage already done so bad. Then you will need a Tablecloth if it is. So sorry that has happened to you.

That's awful. It is beyond repairable? I wouldn't stop nagging if something like that happened. I probably would call just to nag.

I won't go to that extent but I do want her to be more careful.

That is so disappointing to have that table ruined. That is a hard mess to fix, and I do think the table cloth is your best bet.
