I always love reading cards and letters. Emails and e-cards might have the fastest delivery time but the thoughts of reading a hand written card and letters are very special to me. . It's been awhile since I got any cards, or box of chocolates, or a small teddy bear. Busy times is one of the factors as well as the Custom guys who probably liked my talking camel and boxes of chocolates because the deliveries was never made. Lessons learned, so I told my friends to please, please, please, next time they send me something real special do not surprise me anymore and do not throw away the tracking numbers. Years ago, I was feeling a bit lonely and broken hearted. I told my best friend I want a teddy bear. I was expecting a small bear. When, his cousin met me the bear was in tow inside a big pink sack. The bear was half my size. My Mom found it hilarious. But the note with the bear was very touching. He also sent me different kinds of chocolates in a plastic container. The container was sealed with a packaging tape and there's a note that says "This is for Sasha. If your not Sasha do not open". The most outrageous gift I've ever got was a bouquet of long stemmed blue roses from someone I just met one time. Apparently, I helped my him in someways that I don't really understand. He wrote me a letter with the roses. Too bad I lost the letter when I came home. I still have some of the letters and cards from friends from another countries. And notes I exchanged in college with my classmates. I treasure them all. Some of these days I will unearth them and read them again. Hmmm, I hope someone send me a long hand written letter though.
