I spent some time writing a post about a beautiful palace in Venice. Last week we were able to upload photos but over the weekend it seems that this is practically impossible to do.
The photos are integral to the post and enhance the story that can put the script into context by using a photo to accompany the post. I have just deleted the post as there does not seem much point posting such a review if no photo can be uploaded.
I had already made the photo small enough to be reasonably uploaded but it would not upload.
So it left me with no alternative to delete the post and wait until mylot sort this problem out or at least give an easy option to be able to upload photos. It is not that difficult to do surely?
I know this is an issue for quite a few members so until this is sorted I may not take my time on mylot for a while.
How are you feeling about this? Are you too feeling fed up about it?

@garymarsh6 You have to reduce the quality of the jpg to go under 90kb. It seems they are still trying to solve the problem.

I did reduce mine but it would not go smaller than 90kb Anna.

If you can shrink the photos to around 60Kg they should load. That is working for me.

@garymarsh6 I tried twice my own pictures and it's not working. I'll try a pic from Pixabay and see what happens.

I have come across the problem before.It said having a problem with the size.I admire you for the way you are very scrupulous about each of your posts.

Thank you. I think especially the post I was putting on because the description probably would not give a good enough picture in ones mind as to how it looks! I shall try now as apparently they have fixed this error!

@Inlemay I enjoyed our little jaunt this morning. I have felt like your personal tour guide! Who knows perhaps one day we will meet up somewhere on our travels. We came close to it a couple of years ago but the timing was out by about a week or two!

I was around when people were writing about needing to change the file size, but hadn't run into it myself. It may have happened after I wrote the last one. It seems that it's been fixed now as you probably already know since you did post the one about the palace after all. I'm heading over shortly to see what admin had to say about it just to be sure. I just posted something new and didn't change the size of the image and it uploaded fine, so it seems like it is all ironed out now.

I looked for the photo on Pixabay but it does not have it. I understand it is now fixed.

I'm sure this is frustrating for admin as well. They would like everything to run smoothly. I'll just post discussions with smaller photo files and hope for the best.

It is a bad situation because it will hurt the site in the long run. People will become discouraged about being here period and those like me enjoy seeing photos which are great to comment on.

Even when I reduced them to small web photos they would still not load! I think the giltch is fixed now though!
