You guys know I have a lot of cats. And for all these cats, most of them get along pretty good. And then there is Prissy. Just to remind you, we got Prissy in 2010 after a friend died. She came with Taillight. Prissy has pretty much always been kind of psycho kitty. Taillight was just sweet, pretty much ignored the other cats. Prissy... well, Prissy got named Prissy because I wouldn't let the roomie name her Pissy. When she first came she would take swings at about all the cats. But, a few months after she and Taillight came, I found and brought home Daisy. Prissy discovered a motherly side, and would groom Daisy, to the point that Daisy would actually be tired of it. Prissy was pretty good with Sparky when he came and even better with Kismet and later Heidi. However, the pre-existing adult cats she had very little use for. Now, almost 7 years later, she's gotten a little better. She isn't as affectionate with her babies now that they are also adults, but she's still better with them than the other cats. So, tonight, I was in the bathroom, doing that thing people do in bathrooms, and she came in. She was standing in front of the door, looking up at the sink when Tony walked behind her. She hadn't left enough room for a kitten to shimmy in, much less an adult cat. He turned, as if to get grumpy with her for not leaving enough space, saw who it was, and quickly walked away. Nobody, not even the biggest of my cats, mess with Prissy, she will go bat sh!t on them if they did. I once told a couple of kids, big kids, but kids, that she was "bat sh!t crazy." She had been standing on the table getting pets from them. The boy child looked a bit nervous. "Oh, she's good with people, its the other cats," I told him. Then a cat jumped up on the table, she went past 2 other cats to attack the new cat, who jumped off the table again. He nodded. "Bat sh!t crazy!" he agreed.

Sounds like a cat my cousin had, affectionately named "Queen". Of course, queen just didn't like anyone, human or animal alike.

@ScribbledAdNauseum and she was feeding them the store brand food, so not even Cat Chow (which I feed them because I have so many.) Have to say, never had a recall while I've been feeding them it.

I hear that... Heidi was kind of like that when she first came. She's since learned who she can start stuff with and who she can't - Prissy... Prissy would've probably been a good mother and when they were old enough, that was it... She is more apt to lick Daisy, Kismet or even Heidi, but if they are acting crazy, and Heidi frequently does, she won't put up with it. She's never been as fond of Sparky, even though he came in as a kitten too... maybe she doesn't like the boys as much?
