I find some mylot members are moody even if they don't use emoticons. They sound moody to me when they answer my post. Most member have good moods when they respond to me but there are some who are like moody or not in a good mood as they don't sound friendly to me. Maybe they are not really pleased with my post

It is hard to judge mood with just the typed word I think.

It's easy to feel if the responder is friendly or unfriendly or in good mood

I think that too. Body language and tone of voice have a great bearing on our interpretation of 'words' even if we are not always conscious of it.

They are very few. Most people like you are always in a happy mood when they respond

There are moody, unpleasant people everywhere. Just ignore them and continue to be happy.

I feel when some members are moody, some can be pretty rude too, they take everything as personal.

It's very hard to tell sometimes how people are feeling when there is no body language to watch or tone of voice to listen to. If you are feeling down yourself, that might also make a difference to how you perceive comments.

I loved the second part of your response - "If you are feeling down yourself, that might also make a difference to how you perceive comments"

@JudyEv Yes, I agree with you that if the host of the discussion is not in a good mood, s/he would read and understand responses in his/her way.

@dpk262006 I do think that is true though, don't you? You could easily take something the wrong way if you are feeling a bit miserable or a bit sensitive.

I get this feeling a ton! It is mostly because people do not use a lot of voice in their posts. I swear, capitalizing and punctuation does a lot for emotions when writing. It is good to use multiple exclamation marks, and question marks, and such just to show that they are not being mean or uninterested haha

@Idgafku2 Maybe I'm just very sensitive. I'm sensitive if they are not really happy. I believe that's true we cannot really tell we are just guessing

It's important to use emoticons, punctuations to show emotions in our post. Some post are cold and no emotions
17 Feb 17
@averygirl72 just because someone doesn't use emoticons doesn't mean they are cold. I rarely if ever use emoticons, I'm also rarely cold and without emotions. It is NOT easy to tell someone was tone or how they feel just by reading their comments. The best way to know for sure is just simply asking them. That way u aren't misunderstanding them.

It is hard to telling when somebody is typing what kind of mood they are in. We never know that kind of day people had or what is going on in their lives each day so how they answer things may affect how it comes across.
