Some of My New Playgrounds - Even we old goats need a new playground once in a while. Today I got a Jim-dandy of a place in which to have lots of fun - and - my good buddy, "Rod" showed up here at our new house and gave me the means by which I can get to the new recreation center without straining a single muscle. The "means" is a little electric 3-wheel scooter. That scooter will go down the road at 20 miles per hour, fast enough for me and, if she learns to ride on it, also for my bride. The recreation center is a great big swimming pool and its accompanying exercise building, showers and the like. It is a heated pool and is said to be open for use 24/7, even on winter days. Once we get settled in, we shall have to give it a try. Right beside the pool are several parks - even one for pet dogs in which the doggies can walk their owners. There are some areas just for kids - swings and slides. Also, a big picnic grounds is right at hand. So far, a good move. Not the least is a fine barbecue eatery right down the road. Had a great big stuffed-full baked potato there for lunch today in celebration with my buddy, Rod, over the electric scooter gift. Image: Grand Oaks "Rec Center" and Pool - Gus Kilthau

@Ceerios You remember our wild boars, they have been pretty quiet this year, no major damages to the neighbors' gardens.

@LadyDuck - Ms Anna - Right you are. "Grand Oaks" (the name of this large area) is an interesting place - sort of a combination of "country" and "city." Our next place will be pure "country," with woods, fields, and fishing ponds (which will be stocked with fish by the state. However, there are not to be any of those wild boars offered by your own neighborhood. -Gus-

@MALUSE- "M.-L." - I did not have my swim suit handy or I might have jumped right into the water. -Gus-
