Wind!

I love the wind and one of the things I detest about Phoenix is the lack of wind and breezes most days. I am enjoying watching the wind tease the poor thirsty trees and the lovely clouds in the sky! I hope we get a boatload of rain!! I remember as a child we lived in a big old house (in the Midwest) with a fireplace in every room. In winter the wind would whip around the house just right and if you were in the dining room it sounded like there was a train coming through, it was so cool! Sometimes it would whistle through one chimney, the one in the back room no one used, and somehow found a tiny opening in the damper to whistle through and that was spooky at night. Sorry the noise bothers you, that is miserable when you're trying to sleep or want to. I can hardly wait for the rain and that nice clean smell. My granddaughter loves to play in the rain!

Wind, clouds, and rain make my kids cranky

I can't stand people snoring, but wind is usually fine for me to sleep with. I listen to music at a higher volume to cover the sounds I don't like. It has to be nice music, nothing too deep or wonderful, otherwise it doesn't work. I just don't like to go out when it's windy, because hair.

Our New Zealand summer has been crazy. In my part of the country we've had nothing but wind and rain, no summer at all, while on the other side of the country they have been sweltering and suffering summer fires.

I'm surprised that it's not windier here today. We're not too far north of Peoria, and usually we have more wind than you do. We've definitely got rain on the way with the way I'm feeling, possibly a bit of snow depending on how the temperatures drop tonight. The precipitation is totally welcome, though!

Spring is windy. We need the rain here. Have been a drought for several years. Hope the noise gets better.
