My precious hubby surprised the heck out of me 3 times today.
1. He asked me to join him at the pool. That never happens. Either we mutually go together, he tells me he's going down to read, or I tell him I'm going, usually while he's out and about.
2. He asked me if I wanted to go to the movies, and when I suggested La La Land, he readily agreed, knowing it wasn't his type of movie. However, he thought it was good, but wasn't as wild about it as I was. I loved it!!!!
3. He asked me where I wanted to have dinner. I wanted to try a new Italian restaurant. He was wary, but it turned out to be fabulous.
We had a very romantic day and evening. What more could a girl want?

Nice time for sure it sounds like. I tried watching La La Land and could not get into it. Maybe I will try again eventually.

Oh you definitely have a treasure right there! My husband mentioned taking me out to dinner last week. Well, I am still waiting! But, we have had some bumps in the road that kept us from dining out.
I would love to see a movie! My husband would never watch LaLa land...he would watch Grease though, so I don't know what the problem is there!

@DianneN that would be lovely. Probably not going to happen until next payday. He just walked in with two boxes of laminate flooring. Wants to buy a box of it here and there so he can start putting down the floor....finally!!

So sweet.. and it's even more sweet because of how long you've been married that he still asks you to the movies.
I'm usually the one who has to make the plans and come up with things to do for us.

@DianneN Yes, that seems to be a woman's job. Mine isn't bad at making plans.. he's just not really creative, and I get tired of the same ole thing.. I want to do something different, but he can't come up with something different and fun to do!

@katsmeow1213 The creative things are left to me, such as art galleries, plays, and museums, etc. We enjoy those, once I get him to agree to go. But he agrees, at least.

I'm seeing La La Land today! I'm going alone as eveyone in my group has seen it and are seeing other movies in the theater but we are meeting together afterwards for dinner to discuss all the movies.

@DianneN I didn't know what kind of a movie it was except the plot, so was surprised that it was a musical. It took me awhile to get adjusted but I really loved it at the end. But It made me sad.
