Coming in at # 19 on my favorite rock songs of the 1970's series is Freebird, by Lynyrd Skynyrd, it should really probably be a little higher, but I have already done the research. So, here it is. Freebird was a # 19 hit on the billboard hot 100 and, it was given the number 3 spot, by Guitar world, for the greatest guitar solo, it's also known as Lynyrd Skynyrd's signature song. Check out a sample of the lyrics below. If I leave here tomorrow. Would you still remember me. For I must be travelin on now. There's too many places I got to see. If I stay here with you girl. Things just couldn't be the same. Cause I'm as free as a bird now. And, this bird you can not change. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh And, the bird you can not change. And, the bird you can not change. Lord knows I can't change. Some information verified at Wikipedia, definitely a classic song, you can tell that just by the lyrics, but the guitar solo is also epic.
