My great niece, Everyly was three years old today and I was flummoxed about what to pick as a gift. I finally settled on a mermaid blanket. I've seen them everywhere and the reviews are good. It's like a cone bag with mermaid fins on the end. The fleece was a bit more expensive but it seemed better than the knitted ones.. It arrived yesterday from Amazon (a little nail biting going on, since the party was today) and I was so surprised and pleased at how soft the fleece was! I was really happy with it. The blanket was a hit. My nephew asked me if I saw Everly's face when she saw what it was, I didn't but did see his wife's face and that made my day. I got a nice picture of my sister and Everly when she tried it out. It fits girls from 3-12 so she can use it a long time. I hesitated as warm blankets are not what Floridians usually want, but often it's chilly in the house with the air conditioning on, especially for little ones and it's easy for her to slide into when watching TV or napping because it isn't bulky like a square blanket. It's just the cutest thing ever!
