Wasted Time

I started out having 3 clients today. Went to see the first two and all went well. Headed to the final client and made it there in record time. The roads were clear of traffic. This was strange to me because I usually encounter a lot of traffic between 11:30-12. When I got to her house I gathered up my bag of tricks and headed to the door. Well, the door was locked. My phone doesn't get service at her house so I loaded up my car and headed to my own home, which is just down the road. The scheduler forgot to inform me that the client was back in the hospital. She didn't have another client to fill my schedule for the afternoon. So, I got the afternoon off. Instead of going outside to enjoy the beautiful sun, I fell asleep in the recliner. Woke an hour later, put ribs in the crockpot, and decided to drive back to town to drop off a dvd to Redbox that we rented yesterday. I did manage to find a great buy at Walmart. Spent $9 on a pink hoodie for myself. I needed a new one. Back home now and waiting for hubby to get here so we can have dinner. The ribs smell amazing. When gifted a little extra time for yourself, do you waste it with a nap?

I often do that my friend. I am so exhausted from dealing with bs, that yes when the time comes to do something when I have time, sometimes it does not happen. I am glad you had a little nap, and also got yourself a nice hoodie. Ribs sound awesome so tasty especially in slow cooker. Hope you are doing alright my friend.

I am doing okay OT. Trying not to let things overwhelm me. When something happens that I don't particularly care about, I speak my mind.

I don't think a nap is a waste of time! It's a gift of relaxation where you get to rest your body and your mind entertains you with dreams, some outlandish and other ordinary. Sleep is always an adventure for me and I always dream in color--strange, as I prefer black and white movies! I don't dare nap in the day or I don't sleep at night but I used to love a good nap.

I can't sleep more than an hour or less or my night sleep is also not restful.

It depends if I feel sleepy. But usually, I would spend it here or open Facebook, or watch TV. Just something that can make me entertained and relaxed. We all need relaxation.

Funny thing is, when I sit down for a few minutes and put my feet up, I don't usually feel sleepy. I just end up falling asleep and realize when I wake that I must have been tired.

A good nap is never wasted time! Yes, I might sleep in the afternoon if I come home from work early. I find it refreshing and I am full of energy afterwards.

I still lacked the energy I thought I would have. Maybe if I had fully surrendered to the bliss of rest I would have woke refreshed.

@besweet I have slept longer than that and I walk around in a fog for hours.

@ElusiveButterfly You have to find the perfect power nap that works for you! To me, it is between 30 to 50 minutes top. If I sleep for more then I will wake up feeling like a zombie.

Your body tells you when you need a nap. I gifted myself with one yesterday until a text message woke me up. I don't find naps a waste of time. Lol! Enjoy your dinner! Btw, good deal! I love pink.

The nap did me good. I'll need to get a few of them in this week. I have to work a 12 day stretch.

There are days from time to time I do find myself catching a quick nap or two. The nice thing in a way is my husband works swing so many a time later at night I have to be awake so we can spend some quality time together.

My husband considered working swing shifts. But, after he thought about it, he declined. He had worked that shift in another factory and he didn't do well with it.

I am so hungry for ribs. Another lady on here has them every once in a while. We need to get a new slow cooker so we can have Pepsi Ribs. Yum! I slept very late. Up until dawn.

@celticeagle my husband would probably raise an eyebrow if I told him what they were prepared with too. Better to let him try them first and tell later.

A nap can be very good for you. It can be a God send if you are really really tired too. So glad you have had a good Afternoon though.

If I could have partial days and not have to worry about paying bills, it would be a good thing. Once our bills are paid down I may just consider part time work. Would be lovely to spend the afternoon at home.

@lovinangelsinstead21 It is going to be a shorter day today with work. Two clients in hospital and there aren't any clients to fill my schedule. So, another day of "me" time.

@ElusiveButterfly I spend extra time in bed a few times. One to keep warm and the other to calm down. I have lots of Bills too but I cannot let them get to me if I can help it. I do worry but I shove it all away for another time if needs be. Have a great day ahead.

I'm sure getting that much needed nap was good for you. I always get some shut eye when I can, being sleep-deprived most of the time.
On average, I get around 5 hours of sleep a day. I have read several articles saying that it isn't good for the body. We all need at least 8 hours of sleep....
