Spring ditty

A single mourning dove fans its tail feathers in flight we pad up the soggy late winter driveway easier now that the land is rough with stale snow. Strawberry leaves green the synapses tensing our muscles toward heft and heave; hoods and gloves shucked the stuff of day not the murk gleamed in pre-dawn rustlings.

@Jessicalynnt Good idea. Think three acres and how much money it would take to buy all that sand. I just must be patient.

@Jessicalynnt The snow ice has melted off the driveway. But: the snow ice continues to plague us as we attempt to walk to the chickens or Peter burro. So it is half melted and stale. I itch to freely walk our hilly acreage.

@jstory07 Thank you. I'm giddy with not having to concentrate on staying upright when I walk.
