I have more

Earlier I had surveyors come from the neighbors. Well I have always tried to keep things over more so not to be on others land, although I will pick blackberries from the road by their land. I went to work, came back and I seen a pink tie on a tree. Wow I got a lot more room than I thought! And some of those blackberry bushes are mine. I am happy to know where this property line is.

That is great. Much better than losing land.

You didn't have it surveyed when you bought the place? We always have surveys done. Our first home in TN he survey showed the house in back of us was 3 feet into our property they made them cut off the back porch!

@andriaperry You said you didn't know where your property lines were - now you do - didn't you get a survey done when you bought it was my question

No. Its all woods here, I have open fields on three sides of mine and my woods at the back. The nearest neighbor is a half a mile or more.

Here in Alabama most people pull off the roadside and pick berries growing wild, not one says anything.

It is nice indeed when there is a clear separating line of properties. At least the people would know that they aren't trespassing when people pick some fruits or whatever outside of their property line.

I make jam and seedless jelly, I can them in light syrup for cobblers and I have some in the freezer for whatever. I have dried the leaves for blackberry tea.

It's good to know that your land is bigger than you thought. We had the same survey a few years ago, because we suspected that a neighbor had moved the property line. Now there is a fence, no more problems.

Go to the county mapping dept, its close to where you pay property tax, get a image map. It will show the tops of the houses and the lines.

It's good to know exactly where your boundaries are. At the least, it saves misunderstandings.
