How about your makeup sense

Make up is a powerful tool to present ourselves good among the society. I think people rate others according to their dress and the appearance so most of the people are so careful on their make ups. I don’t think there is anything wrong to make the appearance good by giving some extra efforts. . But if it is over then it will give only opposite result. Last week I was attending a wedding reception of our neighborhood girl. I was astonished to see the bride’s younger sister; I could not recognize her even if she smiled at me. I thought some other girl and I took much time to identify her. Reason she had done much make up and her look changed with the extra makes up. Make up should be done for making his/her appearance good, not for scaring others. It should enhance her natural beauty. What about your views?

Even during my younger days I never got myself made up. The only thing I have ever used is lipstick and talcum powder. I do have my hair cut to suit my face.

I don't use make up either however I don't have any objection to those who uses it. But there is a limit for everything.

In the name of make up or make over, people could go to any extent beyond your imagination because they have plenty of money to spend, now a day.

My question is what is the use of making you 'ugly' on lookwise with these so called stuffs? Personally I don't have any objection to those who wish to use 'over make ups'. But the person must realize the outcome of using it.

@Sreekala There are comparatively less number of women who get to realize, at which point or stage, their make up has gone above the sensible limits. Others also do not point to such people so as not to offend them. The beauticians will always tell their clients that they look very beautiful after make up and everyone is going to appreciate them and clients blindly believe them. Some people fail to realize that excess of everything is bad.

@dpk262006 Yes, the offensive part we have to give much importance. I too did not comment any on seeing her even though I felt to say much

Mine is really basic, compact powder and lip gloss. For me makeup is something to enhance our face, you know not to look too plain. But if a person feel the need to apply as much as they want, by all means, please do so It's their right and freedom to do as they wish.

Definitely it is their right and I am not going to question anyone even though I felt odd on their looks but I keep that in my mind.

Now that I am older, I discovered that less is more when it comes to make-up. Meaning, when you put on make-up the lesser it is the younger looking you will be. Too much make-up can make a person old looking actually.

Some people like all the extra stuff and changed the way their faces look. There are a lot of of talented people out there on YouTube that don't for a living. I love watching them transform their faces into something completely different even if it is a made up monster or a celebrity. I feel like a lot of make up artist don't get enough credit for the work they do. Also some people just don't know how to properly apply makeup to go with certain setting, like a wedding, or how different lights make different makeups look and that might have been the case with the bride's sister specially if she did the makeup her self & a professional wasn't hired.

I have no idea whether professionals were hired or not. Usually professionals are there to make the bride and sisters also get a chance there. However, I don't bother about those things, my point is, if we use make up then it should make our looks great and pretty.

@Sreekala Most of the time it does make people look good. If she looked poorly and not good then it probably wasn't professional done. Some people can't afford to pay someone to do their hair & makeup at their weddings because they spend so much on other things that really don't matter as much as how they are going to look in their weddings photos. Or they trust a friend to do & they don't know what they are doing.

@HAPPSINGH Something I noticed among my friends, those were using simple make up in their young age started to change and depending more on it. It may be lack of confidence or may be due to the fear, on getting old

You are right, make-up is to enhance and not to ruin one's appearance and also I prefer light not heavy. I want my real beauty to be noticed not the make-up.

I am a huge make up lover but there is good and there is too much. Some people dont understand that too much isnt pretty. It is just making you some weird monster full of color.

You have said the right point. There is nothing wrong to use make ups and other things. But too much or excessive won't give any good results.

@Sreekala I think these kinds of people should at least go to a makeup workshop. Like this they will be able to do their own makeup up in the best way taught by a professional

Is she very young? There is your answer. She has not learned good rules yet. She will end up realizing its not so good to overdo the make up thing in any sense. I wear a bit sometimes too but not like that. People always know me. Hope you enjoyed the Wedding.

She is 22 years old and I agree the marriage was on her elder sister so naturally she wanted to be the best among all. However, I have mentioned her just as an example. I have seen many occasions people do over make up and become horrible on look instead of attractive.

@Sreekala It does happen. They probably think that they look very attractive. But the thing is each Woman has to do what she likes as well. For myself I don´t like buckets of Make up. It can come in handy for days when you are feeling off and out of sorts. But apart from that I rarely use anything much.

Ha Ha must be funny to watch such characters. Being male, I do take care of my personality, which may be sometimes includes face getup! During parties I surely will do what my wife asks me to do for my face.

Make up is OK till the point , it does not take away your natural look. I personally like make up less looks.

When it crossed the limit then you may loose the natural look. I am not against to those stuffs either even though I don't like to use it myself. Every one has their own likes and dislikes.

Makeup is fun. The purpose of using makeup changes from person to person. Perhaps little sister was only so made up due to the event?

I am not very good with make up. When I go out, I simply put powder, and a bit of lipstick. That's it. Me doing make up would make me look like a stupid cat lol.
