There is a news here going for days now about the Tanay Tragedy. Around 15 people died when the bus crashed in the side of the road. It includes college students who are planning to have a field trip or camping in Tanay mountains. It was tragic and horrific. There are around 9 buses but this one bus is so unlucky it lost it's brakes and get out of control. It supposed to be a happy field trip. When we heard this news we remember our youngest sister just had camping on that place too last February 11. But her camping went well, she enjoyed a lot and she was able to come back home safely. There are many news of field trip tragedy now. Students are not safe outside of the school campus. They should be extra careful when going out on a field trip.
A school field trip turned into a horrific tragedy yesterday morning in Tanay, Rizal, with at least 15 people killed and 40 college students injured.

They don't check if the bus is really safe

The accident happened because maybe the bus they hired isn't in good operating condition anymore. Sometimes, the school would go for who gives the cheapest price and that's what happened maybe. Schools now should not have field trips anymore, without a parent tagging along. They can just perhaps have a film showing, on whatever they will be studying from those places they want to go instead.

Schools love field trips. It sounds fun and exciting. My sister enjoyed her camping on that place too. Schools should be strict when it comes to field trips. They should double check for their safety. I had field trips in college and nothing bad happens to us.

@averygirl72 Yes, even I had field trips in high school and college . They were enjoyable indeed. Even our daughter had her field trip though within the city only, but she's accompanied by her Lola.

I'm always extra careful when I haul kids around. They say, "Why do you drive so slow"? I say, "Because I'm hauling precious cargo. Do you know what that means?" They usually do.

This is very, very sad isn't it? All those students with their lives ahead of them and now all the grieving families and friends.

Yes the students all have dreams and more plans for their life but it ended so soon. I wish field trips to be more safer for students
