I've been watching a live stream of a giraffe in labor for the past six hours now! STILL no baby! Ugh! lol The giraffe's name is April and she is due to give birth any minute now. There are over 18,000 people tuned in right now, waiting patiently. Hopefully it happens soon! It's not every day you get to see a giraffe give birth! Here's the link, if you guys wanna see! The giraffe in the background is Oliver. He is the baby daddy. :-)
April the Giraffe is expecting a calf! Follow the process as she and her mate, Oliver, welcome a new baby. Animal Adventure Park Harpursville, NY www.TheA...

Interesting! But I stood on a beach for hours 2 years ago waiting for some baby turtles to come out of the sand and head for the sea. I gave up

My girlfriend told me about this, but for some reason, I was confused and thought it was at the Denver Zoo.

I thought so at first, too, but I think it was because the Denver news was reporting about it so much. lol

I have never met this giraffe but I know people who have. It is crazy how long she has been in labor! I have no interest in watching the birth though ick

I was on a vacation in St. Louis with some friends, and we went to the St. Louis Zoo. There was a crowd around the giraffe area, and we discovered that the giraffe was in labor. So, instead of seeing the rest of the zoo, we spent the two and a half hours we had standing there, watching her give birth...then the calf got up and started to walk!!! It was awe-inspiring to see it in person, I guarantee you.

Wow I wonder if animals could talk during birth and pregnancy if they would say the same things we humans think and say

I assist when our dog Beckett gives birth. It's a wonderful experience holding her new born puppies in my hands. However I don't think I have the endurance to watch a YouTube for six hours waiting for an event to occur.
