Self motivation is difficult

I guess I just don't have the discipline and I'm just making an excuse for not being productive lately. I hope not. Eversince I got pregnant and got fired because my employer does not want to pay for my maternity benefits, I've been having these blues. And I can't shake it off. My husband's been really encouraging but these daus, its difficult for couples to only have one source of income so I've decided to go back to ghostwriting. However, it's almost the end of February and I haven't even accepted any projects. My mind's often clouded by thoughts. Thoughts about not being able to meet deadlines cause I'm often too sleepy to focus, not be able to make a good output cause I'm not gpod enough, etc. And I would just find myself putting things off for tomorrow.. and well you know, tomorrow never comes. So I'm sprt off stuck in this cycle of blues and self pity and I'm also worried it's gping to affect my baby. I've tried listening to podcasts and even watched videos about discipline and self motivation and it will just get me through the day stuck with plans that I will not work on. I hope this is just a phase and qill soon wear off cause I want to help my husband so he wouldn't have to work too hard for us. I just feel bad for him.

Stay self motivated for long is really tough as we run out our stored energy.I too suffered same when for 2 continuous years i got no pay hike.I wish you get over your difficult time soon.

Hope this pans out right for you. This is the reason why I build habits instead of relying on motivation. It takes 21 days of doing something continually everyday for it to start becoming a habit.

@slayer08 yeah, some habits, I've been able to build up already. Others, I'm still working on. I'm a work in progress.

And were you able to stick to it? I've been trying to motivate myself for the longest time until recently i just decided to do what i have to do and everything seem to fall into its place. I felt jappoer actually. And i hope i can build a habit just like you.
