Do you like Carnival?

When I was a child I loved Carnival, every year my mother dressed me with a different costume, most of them made by her.
Now I have two kids and like me they want fancy costumes, my daughter will be princess Aurora but my son, who is 8 haven't decided yet.
Do you like Carnival? Which costumes will you or your kids wear? Any original ideas?

I know I`m not a kid anymore but I do love going to Carnivals just to view things around there and eat those booth food

The type of carnival you are talking about we don’t have. We have carnivals but ours have rides and games and yummy food.

@nela13 We celebrate what is called Hallelujah where the kids dress up in costumes and get treats.

Do you mean children celebrate Carnival with games and special food? Don't they wear costumes?

My mother used to choose the costume for me, most of the time.
Fancy animated movie/branded costumes were already a trend but we couldn't afford them. They were expensive and I was a little overweight. 
When I was 4, I was a kitten.
Later, an ordinary princess.
When I got my hair cut short, I was also dressed as a prince.

I do but we don't usually wear special costumes for carnivals here. I like the lively environment and the good food they usually sell here during carnivals.
