I would like to know if any of you have a different way you cook your turkey? do you just salt and butter before baking or do you use some kind of seasoning. please share your method of preparing and cooking your turkey. I usually just salt and butter, put in a paper bag and leave it until the time is up for cooking. I also cook breast down then turn for a little browning, when done.

We cook ours on a large grill over coals and hickory chips. It takes a long time but it is worth the wait.

this year was my first for makeing turkey. I stuffed it with whole portabello mushrooms instead of sutffing. and i just put salt on the turkey and some oil and lots of butter while it was cooking. It came out pretty good. thx for asking.

I've never ever cooked a turkey, my mom has always done that. I'm not a good cook to begin with, so thats her job :)

we put butter and water in the pan with the turkey. Every so often we squirt some of the water (with turkey juices) over the turkey and add some seasons to it like seasoning salt, meat tenderizor (sp)
