I Know Where I Want To Live

We have all heard the tales of Armageddon and the Apocalypse. The end of days like we know them. Right? Well, I have an idea. I want to take a certain amount of people(depending on the size of my living space) into a biosphere. It would include inside a fish hatchery where salmon, trout, and tilapia could live. It would also include a vegetable garden with my favorite vegetables and those of my other co-cohabiters. I would also hope for a farm of at least pork and turkey. It would have to have a water filtering system, a high tech security system, a huge library, technology for ongoing free WiFi and such technological devices as we will need, streaming ability, communication system to keep up on whats going on in the world, abundant hemp to make clothes and other objects, medical expertise of some kind, and chocolate makers. This is just the basics. This biosphere would be constructed out in the wilderness somewhere. Anything I have forgotten?

Just curious, are you only thinking of humans or are you also considering wild habitat and those that depend on it for survival?

@celticeagle I always try to bear in mind that our creator created every living thing for a reason.

It would need to be handicapped friendly for those with physical disabilities, and for us as we age. It would need to be considerably impenetrable from chemical and physical weaponry. A swimming pool or other means of physical recreation would be necessary as well. The library should include writing implements so that an onging history can be recorded.

That's good thinking. Exercise area. Maybe the pool could hose the fish too.

@celticeagle Oh yes, so in that way the pool would become more of a lake or small pond. Have we mentioned some sort of water purification system?

@andriaperry ......That's great. I used to gather some weeds that were edible greens and very tasty. Mushrooms are so good and filling if you know how to tell if they are good or poisonous.

@celticeagle I know how to make shelters out of tree limbs and branches although I've only used ones that were already on the ground. I've never had to fell a tree or bush to get my supplies. If you were starting something new, I'm sure there wouldn't be too much on the ground yet. Probably a world of that nature would need to refrain from using too much techie stuff otherwise it would only be repeating mistakes made on the original world.

I think you will also need a forge to make tools, and I agree with Gary bees are a necessity.

This sounds like a good beginning to a story line about possible future events. Maybe we could all write one together, now wouldn't that be fun?

@celticeagle I realize that. I've actually put together a few scenarios with the possibility of making them into sci-fi type novels before, so I got that part.

It's a good idea, but what purpose would it serve? It wouldn't stop Armageddon or the end of days.
