You Only Live Once

Recently this YOLO mantra has been bugging my reverie day and night. How I envy those people who don't hesitate to plunge into the unknown and come out feeling more alive than ever. I can't be like that. I always consider the consequence. Will I get hurt? Will I fall? But then what if I fly? We'll never know unless we try. So I made my own YOLO things-to-do inspired by Carter and Edward's bucket list.
1. Contact an old friend. (It never is easy to lay down one's pride. I'll send him a message but what if he rejects me? What if he taunts me? What if..?YOLO!)
2. Go to a public bath. (I've been in Japan for quite a while already but I've never tried their public onsen. Getting naked in front of others is a bit far off for the conservative me. But nah, YOLO!!)
3. Get a tattoo. (Not the flower garden kind. Or the dragon vs lion type. Definitely not Trump's face! I'd go for the simple yet meaningful one. MyLot's logo perhaps?)
4. Do something rebellious. (Still considering though. I'm chicken through and through.)
And the list goes on and on. I just wish I'll have the courage to do them all.

@sol_cee You Only Live Twice was actually Connery - though with 6 actors having played him now Bond has only lived 6 times

I have two tattoos. I had my first airplane flight after Christmas. I was fine. I still want to learn how to ride a horse and meet my father.

I would be very shocked if anyone actually got a tattoo of the mylot logo on their body. I tend to weigh the pros and cons of everything for along time so I really can't jump right into things like others do just because we only live once. I don't think being careful and thinking things through is a bad thing.

We share the same character traits of being too cautious in life, and I think you probably like to plan all the details for a vacation too!
When i was young, I did not need to plan till every day was covered, but now I get too cautious.
There are too many "what ifs" to consider.

@sol_cee No I haven't .. and I won't be game enough to try it .. although when I get really hungry, I always say , "I am starving that I could eat a horse" ... lol ..

@sol_cee living our life once, for me, is not a requisite to do those things that we think,challenges us to the brim. i would still do those things not thinking about my life as living once.

Oh dear, I was going to say the soup looked good... how was it? I suppose we eat all sort of other animals...
Nice list! I am like you, conservative for some things... it may well be good to live a little moreso. :-)
