A great day today, with two reading / presentation activities. The first was at an all day training session for speakers and volunteers helping out at the local university for students studying the effects of mental health. As with other student presentations mine was very well received.
After a few hours break at home I attended a less formal open mic reading in Preston, my first visit to the excellent Spark group where performers present true stories from their own lives on a given theme, and this month it was education. It was a very enjoyable evening in the company of very talented writers. After changes in another writing group I attended until earlier his week lead to my resignation from its activities this was very welcome for me.

@teamfreak16 yes certainly though it is more of a monthly performance event organized by its two comperes than a group activity - it is open to all as an open mic platform

being surrounded by talented writers is a nice way to spend your evening.
it's been a while since i had a real conversation with people(other than my family). although i like my quiet days but i sometimes would love to sit outside with a friend and relax.
