Sorry I Have Been Away Lately!

This has been a very stressful two months for me. I have been visiting a dermatologist for two different issues. No sooner did I finish up with one of the issues, he spotted something new which required a second biopsy. It's the waiting that is so frightening. It takes the best part of a month for results to come back here in Manitoba and I do not handle stress well at all! Just wanted to let you know that I haven't been up to simple chit chat. It all came to a head on Friday... The dermatologist 's office called my husband's phone Friday afternoon asking me to call them back... that my test results were in. As soon as hubby told me, my heart began to pound. I'm one of those people who always jump to the worst possible conclusion!! I tried calling them back, but was greeted by a message saying that they don't answer the phone on Friday's after 12:00. I would have to wait until Monday. As you can imagine... the weekend was a write-off for me. Surprisingly... **The dermatologist CALLED ME THIS MORNING. The biopsy came back. NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT! You have no idea how much better I feel and just had to share!! BUT... HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT!! -------------------------- Anyway, I managed to get through the weekend and then pleaded with my family to let me watch The Oscars... we never watch the show, but I needed something to take my mind off the call I would have to make (this morning) I shut off the tv as soon as the "best picture" was announced and headed upstairs. Luckily I fell asleep. If I had only watched it a bit longer lol!! I MISSED ALL OF WHAT CAME NEXT!! It wasn't until this morning that darling daughter told me about the mix-up!!

So glad you got good news about your biopsy. I had a biopsy on an area of my skin and found that I had squamous cancer. I went to an herbalist and got some ointment and removed the cancer. It's call C-herb. That was a few years ago. The cancer has not returned, I'm happy to say.

@Hate2Iron Yes, it was scary at the time. I have a wonderful herbalist who is very well informed.

I'm happy that the dermatologist's results were nothing to worry about. I find it cruel when the medical community makes a person wait like that. Happy you got to see the Oscars

I just wish that they had waited until Monday to make the call. It was the waiting that I'm sure gave me more gray hair!

@Hate2Iron I am not sure why, but it seems like medical places, billing places, etc like to do that. They should be more thoughtful....

So glad the news is all good. It's a shame you get so anxious about these things although I know you can't help it and I'm sure there are many who react in the same way. I didn't watch the Oscars but the end bit made our news as well.

It's good that the results of the biopsy exam are good; you need not be stressed.
