Throwback Thursday :rainbow cake birthday (1988)

Richfield, Utah
March 2, 2017 1:35pm CST
This pic is of my 8th birthday. The reason I say rainbow cake, is that Smiths used to sell half a round cake, frosted in a rainbow. There was always a theme, such as Garfield (which was with this one) my little pony care bears, and transformers for the boys. The reason we bought these cakes was because there was only 4 of us in the family, plus these cakes only cost less than 5.00 at the time. There was never left over cake.

That is a very good idea. A half cake like that. That is something I have never seen. I bet that picture brings back some memories for you.

@librarygeek1980 I think they would be perfect. But I bet at a good bakery you could have one made that way.

Now you can't find a cake that cheap if you do its a really tiny piece for one or two people at most. Cake is awesome me and the kids love it.

I know, you cant. Even the small one layer cakes are at least $8.00 that's why I've gotten to make dump it all in cakes more
