"Waiting is painful, but not knowing what to do is the worst kind of suffering"--Paulo Coehlo
The longest 45 minutes.
How come?
Getting to an island to see ruins was part of our itinerary, getting stranded/stuck for 45 minutes is not.
We were on our way back after the tour to Corregidor Island when the boat stopped.
The engine died.
We can see the island where we came from, and we can see the port where our vehicle is waiting for us, we are in the middle of the sea, maybe a part of the ocean(should check the map, haha).
We should be okay.right?
But not really.
It is raining, waves are quite high and water is not calm, and it is getting darker.
What did we do?
Pray the rosary, we prayed hard. Calling our contacts to the island to send some help.
Some cried silently, some were uneasy.
How about me?
I silently look around, like saying to myself, the world is lovely, thanking God, calming myself the way i know. Staying positive.
We got some help after 45 minutes, but all in all, we are in the water for more than an hour, on a boat.
It was when we watched the news that we learned about the low pressure on the place we have been. Nay! That explains the waves and rains.
Colleagues asked me, why i keep my coolness, told them, have to, to keep my mind straight.
Oh well, December 17, 2016 is one unforgettable date.

@brokenbee well, no one really got panic, like..you know, one saw a big boat and waved her hand and until now we are laughing at what she did, haha

Lesson learned -- check the map haha. You know, just in case the boat won't start anymore, you'll know which direction to jump and swim.
kidding aside.. that was quite a scare. but i guess unexpected instance like that is part of an adventure. it kind of makes the adventure a real one.
