LiteracyBase is different

The main difference between myLot and Literacybase is 1.while in myLot we earn for others' contribution in our activity at LitercyBase we get paid for whatever we contribute be it blogs, or posts and comments in groups 2. myLot automatically transfers our earnings in our paypal account if we reach payout while at LiteracyBase we have to redeem once we reach payout. 3. The payout at myLot is 5 dollars and at Literacybase it is 10. 4. At LiteracyBase we can share our posts adding to our income while at myLot there is no such thing 5. At LiteracyBase the blogs need to be a minimum of 300 words which is not the case with myLot. 6. While LiteracyBase does give one the opportunity to interact at myLot it is the mainstay 7. There is no edit button at LiteracyBase. If editing is required that is done by writing to Support. We cannot delete posts at LB. myLot lets us delete and or edit 8. We see our earnings at Literacybase the moment we make a contribution. It is not so with myLot. I like both. Any more questions?

Thanks for the great explanation. I have never looked at it. I am needing to plan for summer earnings when school is out.

Hmm well which one do you earn faster with? I have heard literacy base is faster to earn. Years ago on mylot (before they stopped paying and restarted paying) they did not allow us to delete comments or posts either.

Yes, I agree with @allknowing. Though we might be able to earn faster at Literacy Base, but it requires more effort. Even when I am writing at forums, I always use a word counter, as the longer the comment, the better we will earn too. The advantage is, we know how much we are earning based on our activity.

You have to work hard there to earn. And must have topics to write on. The longer the posts the more one earns. I cannot do more than 300 words. As I have already said in my post there are groups where you can post and comment as also on blogs written by others. Every actvivity earns there.

Does it appear Literacy Base will be able to remain financially viable over the long run without having to make major changes in its method of payment?

No but thanks for so much information on LB. It's always nice to have a few means of earning pennies.

I see many mylotters in LB. Haven't join but thinking about it. Seeing how I like to write long articles, it would be more practical to publish them and allow them to earn passive income at LB while shorter "discussions" posted here where there is more interaction. Could you please elaborate on #4 what you meant with "sharing our post"?

That is why I am at both sites. You can share your post on twitter for example and other sites.

I like both sites too. I think I might be able to earn faster at LiteracyBase, but it requires more effort and stress, as I have to write lengthy posts and comments too. As in mylot, I find it more free to interact. I can just write almost everything I like without any pressure, though the earning is uncertain, I just don't focus on the earnings, but just writing or interacting. I think mylot loads faster too, though I think LB has increased its loading speed now which is good. Good to know you enjoy both sites too! One thing I don't really like is that I can't edit my posts at LB.

Thanks for explaining in such a lucid manner. However, I feel that those who are more inclined to earn online and have good capacity to write, could join LB. I still feel comfortable in mylot.

@Bodyandbrain Yes, you are right. I really find difficult to switch over to a new site with different format. I find that mylot is very user friendly, while LB appeared like a maze to me.

wasn't it literacy base where they have to approve your post first before it's published? why did they relax that rule?

@allknowing so if they find a violation, you won't get paid anything (that redemption is forfeited) or there will only be deductions?

I think when it comes to bad English myLot takes first place Having said that it is you and your earnings that matter. If you can churn out some good blogs, why not go for it. If your English is good that will be cakewalk for you.

@asfarasiknow I agree with you about myLot site's guidelines being written in perfect English. At the end of the day as I have already said, it is you and the world that is connected with your blogs. The Admin there only provides you with a platform. If you are good at writing blogs you should go for it. And about Support doing the editing for you they do it as per your instructions. They feel that giving a free hand to bloggers could result in things that are not in keeping with blogging ethics and i agree with them. At the same time there they own your work. You cannot delete your posts there.

@allknowing But the guidelines, etc, written by myLot's owners are not in bad English. The website is their shop window and the guides, etc, need to be free of grammatical errors and this is not the case with LB. I suppose it seems strange to me that you cannot edit your own posts there but instead have to contact the Support section of a website which itself needs a lot of editing!
