Wealth Inequality? Better or Worse Under Trump?

Found this link shared on Facebook and it poses this question: Will wealth inequality get worse under Donald Trump? The article has a cool graph. I finally figured out how they calculated the “1 %” everybody's been yelling about. None of us are prophets but if we were to hazard a guess, do you guess that “wealth inequality” will get worse as a result of Donald J. Trump being our President? In other words: If the rich get richer and the poor either stay the same or get poorer, will it be Trump's fault because of his own decision-making in the Oval Office and/or what he will allow others in his Administration to do so that he can feign ignorance and doesn't have to full blame once the damage is done while the rich folks are laughing all the way to the bank? That's a revised elaborated version of the question. It wasn't posed that way, but we know that's what it's asking. * * * I don't want detailed opinions or comments. Just respond to the question with a simple YES or NO. This is my answer. NO!!!!!!!!! Uuuuhhh … you can add as many exclamation points as you like. P.S. You can also add your comments if you want to.

I don't see "wealth inequality" as an issue, but rather a contrived "hate the rich" philosophy. A good analogy would be here on myLot: you write good, thoughtful posts, so you should get likes, views, and comments (and, by extension, money). Someone who writes 14 posts in a row that basically say, "Hey, whazzup," in contrast, shouldn't get anything (except maybe deleted). Somehow along the line that socialist lie of everyone is "equal" crept into the economic discussion. There's a reason that I pay $10 for Dale Watson tickets while someone else is paying $250 to see Madonna: Dale Watson's a better singer but there's a more widespread audience for what Madonna offers. That's not Dale's fault, and it's not Madonna's fault. The law states equal opportunity, which does NOT mean equal pay...just an equal chance to make one's self successful. If someone doesn't want to put forth the effort to write good posts, then the monetary reward for your good posts shouldn't be removed from you and given to someone else. Oh, you said no detailed opinions. Sorry. No!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very enlightening comments. I need to find out who Dale Watson is. (???) I'm always looking for new artists, particularly musicians and singers.

@FourWalls - Yeah. You have quite a few of those discussions. Were you not also on Bubblews at one time with similar discussions? I seem to recall them.

Can anyone really overcome the widespread economic inequality?

Overcome it? NO. But there are some things folks can do to stop making it worse!

@amitkokiladitya - When it comes to wealth inequality, Mr. Modi's job is much harder than Donald Trump's job. I wish him all the best for all of the people.

You are blessed. No Bernie Madoff made off with your money. Those investors were duped into believing they had sound investments. The thing is … there must be a way for them to get back some of what they lost. But that's financial fraud and it's a completely different discussion. Thanks for commenting.
