Had to get off FB a while

Came over here to mylot for a bit of TLC. 
Does Facebook get on your nerves at times?
I was there for a bit to communicate with family and friends. My good friend in AZ brother died yesterday of brain cancer. Sad thing is she was taking care of him at home because his benefits ran out. He was just a little over 60 yrs. old. younger then her and I. So I was commenting etc. Called her and text her yesterday as to my condolances.
Anyway while there, my daughter in Ohio was posting photos of her MIL birthday who is 82yrs. one of my cousins popped on and said your mom don't look that old and another big mouthed cousin says, how old I would be in August, etc. I didn't mind him telling my age but this was not the time nor place to discuss it. 
embarrassed
Besides, he is one that always says things like that and splits hairs , without thinking first at always the wrong times. So I said " LOL, you yourself will be 68 come June 26st" then my daughter pops in with isn't that 26th?
So I got the spelling wrong . thought it was 26st instead of 26th. Just didn't sound right.
All and all I just left. Are there days when it seems people are just picking on you?

How sad about your friend's brother. Brain cancer must be awful. Your cousin sounds like one that could keep his mouth buttoned and many wouldn't mind a bit. Haha

been said about him many times, yet he continues to do it. once he made a tape many years back for the whole family. the comments he made was supposed to be in referance to who was who and what relationship to him like a documentary type thing and each person it seems he said something not nice about like my youngest he said was such a pretty girl except for the problems with very oily hair!! and oldest girl, beautiful but the one that went to rehab several times before she joined AA etc. hard to explain to him how this bothers people even though the tapes went to just family members. he hurt a lot of feelings.

I rarely Facebook anymore. It's a crazy, nasty political swamp over there. The cutest meme is turned into something political and people are so mean and hateful.
I like it here better if I feel like being social!

I guess I don't mind it that much, because I'm usually 'too busy correcting others' to notice when they correct me 
For instance: one of my cousins posted a meme about 'how daylight savings is a government-conspiracy,' and someone commented on how she likes the longer days & -why don't we just leave it like this; inspiring me to comment that 'Everyday is STILL 24-hours' and that 'we don't "lose" an hour, we just "give back" the hour we "took" in the fall.'
Another example of my 'incessant corrections': when people ask everybody to "pray for them," it riles me up 
and I have to stop myself from responding in sarcastic outrage, "My Jesus gave us the power to pray for ourselves; I pity you if Your Jesus didn't give you that power 
"
I think I know what they really mean when they say 'pray for me'--something like 'this is what I pray; I hope you agree with my prayer, so that we know that God Our Father holds the prayer true in Heaven'--but I wonder why they don't ask us to "agree with my prayer"

its okay i guess as long as you don't say a lot of personal things about people related to you or close friends. thats what i don't like

Yes i see it happened all the time and people seem to like to gang up and pick on people, what one finds humorous may really hurt someone elses feelings, people need to learn better manners.

yes it seems to me family can hurt you worse than other people on face book like because they are not face to face with you they can
get way with rather mean gibes as face to face you might retort stop it I will not listen to that Il hope you did not let it hurt too'
mucgh yes I have had days when it seemed not one thing did I do
right according to family lol

aaww! thanks. you and your whole little family are loved both places. yes i don't spend much time there either. even so i often get aggravated what little time i am there.

i would use it like that but unfortunately my family just posts things out of the blue and i miss them cause never know when. i actually go to each ones page to see whats up. my family is not as caring as your daughter sadly
