What a coincidence!

I was watching a show tonight showing a concert of the great Roy Orbison
I was going to go buy tickets for his concert in our area, then day before he had a heart attack and died.
His first wife was Claudette and they had three sons. Claudette and Roy went on a motorcycle holiday when a truck pulled out in front of her. His 24 old wife died in his arms.
Two years later while he was on tour his parents home burned killing his oldest two sons Roy ( age 10) and Anthony (age 6). His youngest son Wesley (age 3) was saved by Roy's parents.
Then he fell in love with, met and married 19 year old Barbara Jakobs and they had 2 more son's, Roy Jr and Alexander.
Roy Sr. was close friends with Elvis Presley and Martin Sheen.
On December 6, 1988 he had a heart attack in his bathroom like his friend Elvis did
and died at the age of 52.
The other coincidence is Barbara died 23 years later on December 6, 2011 at a young age also, of 61. Her cause of death was pancreatic cancer. And Roy and Barbara were close friends with Patrick and Lisa Swayze.

That is so unfortunate. The guy had to suffer for the better part of his life. Good bless him and may his soul rest in peace oh and @dfollin thank you so much for sharing this amazing man's life with us. Believe it or not, I didn't know a single thing about him and now I respect him. Thank you!

Quite a story! The world can be so unpredictable and unexpected at times. Things can happen so suddenly and alter our lives.

You are right. He had amazing talent and an amazing attitude.... and, unfortunately - a sad life. I hope that the high parts were extra ordinary.
